Originally from the Bay Area, Charlene Quaresma is a first-generation American, whose Portuguese parents taught her about the value of hard work and planning early in her life.  Upon graduating early from the University of California Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's Degree in Consumer and Social Psychology in March 2002, Charlene entered a business market still hurting from the dot-com bust and the terrorist attacks of September 11th.  She understands that flexibilty and creativity are needed to build wealth in adverse markets.

Charlene is not your typical financial planner.  She didn't dream of working in the industry; she never imagined she'd land in the world of investments and long term planning.   She began her career as a sales manager at a lingerie boutique and it was there where she discovered the powerful link between money and emotion, passion and vulnerability.  With her, it's not about judgment; it's about owning your story and following your dreams.

She moved to Portland in 2008 to follow her heart and a man that she later married.  Charlene and Mike live in Southeast Portland and are part-time parents to her teenage step-daughter Myah and full-time parents to their two Devon Rex cats, Gilly and Beanie.

In her spare time, she enjoys live music, karaoke, stand-up comedy and anything in the arts and crafts world.  Her latest projects include singing the nation anthem in front of thousands of people at Northwestern Mutual's Western Regional Conference and constructing a set of life-size Angry Birds costumes.  Her favorite movie is So I Married an Axe Murderer and favorite band, Queen.
